First Days in Darling Harbour

on:Waking up in our new home in Pyrmont is wonderful. Its so great to be able to roll out of bed and go to the kitchen to make breakfast with no one else around. Also, really appreciate showering without flip flops! We spend our first morning getting things set up, and doing groceries now that we have a proper fridge and cupboard space to put things.
We spend the afternoon walking around Darling Harbour and enjoying the sites. The place is beautiful – it is surrounded by two levels of nice restaurants and shops. There is also the world’s largest IMAX, the convention centre, Sky Casino and lots of open park space. I would definitely recommend living near Darling Harbour – there is lots to see and do and it is the heart of all the action. There are boat races on the water and festivals in the park.
Andrew goes out in the late afternoon to drop off some resumes at a few of the restaurants on the water, and comes back with two trials, both for Saturday night at Nick’s Seafood Restaurant and one at Blackbird Cafe. Andrew, decides not to do the trial at Blackbird, since Nick’s is a much higher end restaurant and the money is better. No surprise, he gets offered the job and will be starting next week. Off to a good start!
